My Dear Marie (ぼくのマリー, Boku no Marī?) is a series of manga comic books by Sakura Takeuchi and later a short lived anime series.
When the anime was originally released in English language, the English dubbed version was titled separately as Metal Angel Marie, but this name was discontinued for later releases.

Plot
The story follows Karigari Hiroshi, a mad scientist. In order to curb his loneliness he decides to build a gynoid to be his adopted sister. He bases her looks on Mari, the girl he secretly admires. This causes no end of problems when the robotic Marie accidentally meets the original.
Hiroshi is presented as shy, but with good qualities, and would seem to be a good match for Marie if only he had the confidence to pursue the relationship. As the robotic Marie wants Hiroshi to be happy, she tries to help him date Marie. However, she herself has feelings for Hiroshi, leading to an unusual love triangle.
Manga
My Dear Marie was originally published as part of Weekly Young Jump, but later had at least 10 manga books dedicated to it. These have not been translated to English.
Anime
The English language versions were released by ADV Films. Only three episodes of the anime were ever made.
Episodes
- The Birth of Marie
- The Appearance of Hibiki Kennou
